Thank you for your email of 22^nd May 2009 in which you requested an internal review of the FoI request originally submitted on 15^th April 2009.

I have now conducted a review which is detailed in the attached report and my decision is to uphold the original decision to apply the exemptions.

You will see from the report that, as certain issues were common to a number of FoI requests, generic responses to these issues were common to many replies. However, each letter was considered individually to ensure that the response was appropriate to the questions asked. Detailed reasons for certain exemptions therefore may or will be the same in separate replies.

I understand that you have not made a request for information regarding the reasons why the Chief Executive resigned.

In respect of the issue over the council tax payers' right to information, this is dealt with in the attached report. You will see that I have taken into account both guidance from the Information Commissioner and his decisions made in previous cases. The review also details the Council's accounting arrangements.

You have the right to appeal to the Information Commissioner.
