Request for information
Thank you for your request for information about Sixth Form funding.
You requested:
1. The letter reportedly sent out to sixth form in early-March assuring them that
there was no funding shortfall
The LSC has undertaken a search and has been unable to identify a letter as you
have described. A letter was issued by the Learning and Skills Council to schools
on 2nd March, and it is possible that its contents have not been accurately
reported. By way of assistance a copy of the letter is attached.
2. Any emails or communications between the DCSF and Treasury that relate to
the funding shortfall from when it was discovered.
The LSC has undertaken a search and can advise that is does not hold
information requested. By way of assistance, the LSC would ordinarily expect any
such information to be held by the corresponding bodies specified in your request.

3. The contingency plans the LSC has in place to minimise the disruption the
shortfall is going to cause
