Dear Mr Starky
Thank you for your request dated 6 April 2009 for information under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 for the number of job vacancies advertised within the Scottish Public Pensions Agency on 1 April 2009.
We had 2 external adverts: for Assistant Database Manager and Pension Administrators. The information supplied to us by the recruiting managers indicates 2 vacant Assisitant Database Manager posts and 18 vacant Pension Administrator posts.
We had no posts advertised internally on this date.

Your request should be made within 40 working days of receipt of this letter, and we will reply within 20 working days of receipt. If our decision is unchanged following a review and you remain dissatisfied with this, you have the right to make a formal complaint to the Scottish Information Commissioner.
If you require a review of our decision to be carried out, please write to Neville Mackay, Chief Executive, Scottish Public Pensions Agency. The review will be undertaken by staff not involved in the original decision-making process.
Yours sincerely
