Mr Tony Bowden
Email: [FOI #1007 email]
11th July 2008
Dear Sir,
I refer to the email you sent to Belfast City Council Record's Manager requesting a copy of any independent evaluation carried out on the Council's anti-litter campaigns since 2005.
Your email was dated 4th July 2008 and was received by Cleansing Services on 7th July 2008.
Please see attached the anti-litter evaluation reports relating to the year 3 campaign (2006/07) and year 4 of the campaign (2007/08). There have been no other independent research reports undertaken on the campaign since 2005.
If you are dissatisfied with how the Council handled your request for information, you do have the right to request that the Council formally review this decision. If you wish to do so, please write to the Records Manager, Adelaide Exchange, 24-26 Adelaide Street, Belfast BT2 8GB
Should you remain dissatisfied following the Council's internal review, you can seek an independent review from the Information Commissioner. Requests for an independent review should be made in writing to: The Information Commissioner, Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire, SK9 5AF.
However, I would advise you that the Information Commissioner has indicated that a review will not be undertaken unless the Council has first has an opportunity to re-consider its decision.
Kind Regards
Jim Ferguson
Operations Manager
Belfast City Council
