Lee Johnson made this Freedom of Information request to HM Revenue and Customs
Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, HM Revenue and Customs should have responded by now (details). You can complain by requesting an internal review.
From: Lee Johnson

Dear HM Revenue and Customs,
(1) Why do you use expensive 0845 telephone numbers for your call
centres?
(2) Why will your staff not call back when they are advised that a
caller can't afford the expensive 0845 telephone number?
(3) Why will your staff not provide callers with a national and/or
local telephone number when asked for one?
Yours faithfully,
Lee Johnson
